Man, 18, arrested after school stabbing
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at a school in Scarborough Monday morning.According to police, three suspects attempted to rob a student of his ring at Monsignor Fraser College, located at 2900 Midland Ave., shortly after 11 a.m.
A struggle ensued, during which a knife was pulled, and the 18-year-old victim was stabbed in the face.
The suspects then fled the scene.
Police arrested the 18-year-old man in the area of the school a short time later. He is charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
The suspect's name has not been released.
Police are still looking for two outstanding male suspects.
The victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A lockdown was lifted about two hours after the stabbing.
